Hey there! My name is Joanna Boroh.

I am an Indonesian, born and raised in Singapore, and currently based in Los Angeles, where I am studying film at Biola University.

Growing up between cultures has deeply shaped how I see the world and the stories I’m drawn to tell, where my dream is to create emotional projects that grapple with cultural tensions often overlooked in mainstream media, but through an absurdist lens – using humor and oddity to explore human truths.

Alongside my creative work, I’ve grown to love all things related to the production office. Logistics tickle my brain in all the right ways and I find deep joy in serving a crew and a creative vision, a position that feels so reflective of Jesus’ servant-heart in the industry.
